Abadi: No Foreign Combat Troops On The Ground Hollande: My Visit Is An Expression Of Solidarity To Liberating Mosul

Baghdad / The prime minister Haider al-Abadi said the international coalition has no combat troops on the ground.

He said at a joint news conference with French President Hollande "the role of the international coalition in military operations is limited to assigning Iraqi forces" .

For his part, French President Francois Hollande said that his visit to Baghdad is an expression of solidarity of France and its supporting actor for the process of liberalization of Mosul.

He added, "We have agreed with the Iraqi leadership to be fighters on the ground exclusively of Iraqis.
