Baghdad Independent MP Mansour Al-Baiji said that the return of the Peshmerga forces to Kirkuk governorate without the approval of Arabs and Turkmen will worsen the situation and worsen all matters in Kirkuk governorate, which witnessed relatively stability after the federal forces entered it and received the security file in it.

He added in a press statement that: We must take into account the great rejection of the Arab and Turkmen components of the return of the Peshmerga forces to the governorate and leaving the security file of the federal forces in charge of the governorate, especially after the stability that took place in the governorate after the state extended its prestige in the governorate after the Peshmerga forces were the ones holding taking control of matters in the governorate, and this is outside the constitution and the law, given that Kirkuk governorate is the same as other provinces.

Al-Baiji explained that: Kirkuk governorate is a miniature Iraq that includes all sects and components of the Iraqi people, and protecting the security and stability of this province is the duty of the federal government and it is the first and last official in the governorate, especially since the Arab and Turkmen components reject the return of the Peshmerga forces and demand that the security file remain in the hands of the federal government exclusively.

He pointed out that the Peshmerga forces are special forces to protect the region, and they have no right to leave the borders of the Kurdistan region, especially since the regional government has greatly expanded its borders after the fall of the former regime, and this matter is outside the constitution and the law, so the security file must remain in the hands of the federal government and there is no reason for the return of the Peshmerga forces to Kirkuk Governorate.
