Baghdad The head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Muayyad Al-Lami, met with a delegation from the Security Media Cell, in the presence of a number of members of the Syndicate’s council.
During the meeting, they discussed the foundations of mutual cooperation between the cell and the Journalists Syndicate and the importance of the cell’s activities receiving appropriate media coverage through various media outlets to ensure that the security message reaches public opinion without distorting the facts.
The organization of events and the establishment of reciprocal workshops between the cell and the syndicate were also discussed, in order to enhance constructive cooperation in formulating a security discourse according to professional media bases that depend on presenting abstract facts to public opinion.
The head of the Journalists Syndicate expressed his keenness to consolidate the relationship with the cell. He praised the great role entrusted to the Security Media Cell in upgrading the level of the relationship between security men, media men and the press in order to achieve the public interest.
For its part, the cell delegation praised the great efforts of the media and press family in the participation of security men in making victory and strengthening the foundations of security and stability in the country.
