Baghdad / French President Francois Hollande expected that "the battle of regaining the city of Mosul from Daesh will be "before the summer".
Hollande told reporters during a stopover in Kurdistan from Baghdad, "we have not finished from the extremists, and there are still Mosul, and we have been confirmed that this goal might take place in the spring, if possible, or before the summer."
The Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, who met Hollande in Baghdad on Monday, spoke last week about the deadline of "three months" to eliminate the extremist organization in Iraq.
France is the second state in the international coalition to combat Daesh after the United States.
In two and a half months , the Iraqi forces managed to enter Mosul and regained "about 60 percent" of the east of the city, according to an Iraqi officer.
