BAGHDAD / British Minister of International Development, Roy Stewart, confirmed his country's support to resolve the outstanding issues between Erbil and Baghdad through negotiation and understanding.
A statement by the presidency of the Kurdistan region stated that, "Prime Minister, Nechirvan Barzani on Tuesday discussed with British Minister of State for International Development, Roy Stewart and his entourage coordination and cooperation between Kurdistan and Britain province to strengthen relations in various fields and stressed the need for cooperation with the province in many areas."
Barzani stressed "the need to strengthen and develop bilateral relations between Erbil and London, and fully prepared by KRG to resolve all problems with Baghdad through negotiation and dialogue to find a new way for the future of coexistence in Iraq, and trust between the various components, especially for the displaced who want to return to their home areas." pointed out "Britain is an important part in the international coalition for the war against terrorists Daesh and have had a major impact on excluding the danger of terrorists from the Kurdistan region.".
Stewart during his visit to Iraq has met with the President Fuad Masum and his deputy, Iyad Allawi, and the National Security Advisor Faleh al-Fayad .
