Mosul / 23 civilians were killed and wounded in a rocket attack to Daesh targeted civilians and checkpoints to Iraqi forces east of Mosul, according to a military field commander.
Capt. Ahmed al-Obeidi told the National Iraqi News Agency / that "militants of Daesh fired two missiles targeting civilians and Iraqi forces checkpoints in Ta'mim liberated area east of Mosul."
He added, "The bombing resulted in the deaths of 18 civilians, including (five) of Iraqi troops and wounding (five)."
Obeidi said "Iraqi forces have withdrawn most of the checkpoints located near the homes of civilians out of the residential areas on the outskirts of the liberated areas to reduce the targeting the civilian in the liberated neighborhoods by Daesh in eastern Mosul axis"
