Mosul The local government in Nineveh Governorate announced the start of the reconstruction of three destroyed churches in the Nineveh Plain.
The governor of Nineveh, Najm al-Jubouri, told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA), “the engineering cadres in Nineveh Governorate and the municipalities have begun to rebuild the three oldest churches that were detonated by the terrorist ISIS in the Nineveh Plain, from the sums of stabilization work in Nineveh.”
Al-Jubouri added, “the churches that included reconstruction are distributed in Alqosh, Qaraqosh and Carmelis, indicating that” it is hoped that the reconstruction of the churches will be completed at the beginning of next year.
