BAGHDAD- The deputy chairman of the security committee in Baghdad Provincial Council Mohammed al-Rubaie, on Thursday, subjected to an assassination attempt by unknown gunmen.
"The gunmen opened fire on my house early on Thursday morning and then fled," Rubaie said in a press statement. "Surveillance cameras in neighboring houses filmed the incident and Iraqi security forces cordoned off the scene."
He noted that "the gunmen were riding in a car type (Nevara)."
