DOZENS KILLED IN TRIPLE MOSUL CAR BOMBINGS

| January 13, 2017

BAGHDAD, Iraqi military sources said dozens of displaced Iraqis were killed and many others injured in a triple - car bomb attacks that hit the Iraqi city of Mosul late Wednesday.

An Iraqi officer told Petra's reporter in Baghdad that the Daesh terror group detonated three cars killing and injuring dozens civilians, as they were tying to escape from the grip of the terrorists.

"The attacks took place in al-Sadiq neighborhood, in the northern parts of Mosul," he said, adding that dead bodies along with injured people were left on the ground because rescue ambulances couldn't approach and help them.

Iraqi forces are tightening the noose around Daesh fighters in Mosul, who started targeting civilians under the pretext they are cooperating with Iraqi forces.
