HAND GRENADE BLAST INJURES FIVE PEOPLE IN IRAQ’S SULAYMANIYAH

Five people were injured Friday by a hand grenade explosion inside a mosque in Sulaymaniyah city of Iraqi Kurdistan province, a security source said.

A group of unknown persons threw the grenade inside Bahasht mosque in Sulaymaniyah, which exploded while worshiper were performing Tarawih prayers, which followed Isha Prayers during Ramadan, causing multiple wounds to five worshipers, a police source told KUNA.

The perpetrators fled the scene immediately, it said, adding that Sulaymaniyah police are currently investigating the incident.
