Iraq, Thailand Discuss Bilateral Cooperation In Oil And Gas

BAGHDAD - Oil Minister Jabbar Ali al-Laibi discussed with former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra and his accompanying delegation ways to boost bilateral cooperation in oil and gas fields.

During the meeting, al-Laibi stressed the strengthening of relations between the two countries, particularly in the oil and gas sector, calling on Thai companies to invest in oil, gas, infrastructure, refineries and petrochemicals.

For his part, the former Thai Prime Minister expressed his country's desire to enhance joint cooperation as well as the desire of Thai companies to invest in the Iraqi oil and gas sector in the interest of both countries.
