Iraqi delegation to Brussels to ask for support in the war against Daesh and the reconstruction of liberated areas

BAGHDAD / National Iraqi News Agency / A high-level Iraqi delegation headed to the Belgian capital Brussels to ask for support for Iraq in its war against Daesh terrorist gangs and the reconstruction of liberated areas.

A statement by the Presidency of the Republic said that an Iraqi delegation headed by the Presidential Advisor Qahtan al-Jubouri, to Brussels this afternoon to ask for support in the war against Daesh and the reconstruction of liberated areas, pointing out that the delegation members include representatives from the Shia and the Sunni and Christian endowments and Alazidie religious and political personalities.

He added that the delegation headed at the invitation of the European Union and the European Parliament and the Belgian Government and the Organization of Sant Egidio, is seeking international support for Iraq in the fight against terrorism and the reconstruction of liberated areas from / Daesh / and returning the displaced people to their areas, as well as activating the national reconciliation and community, and to promote civil peace.

The statement noted that among the most important round tables discussions on / transitional justice and national reconciliation approach / and / expectations and challenges facing the Iraqi National reconciliation .
