ISF thwarts attempt to smuggle counterfeit currency, hash through airport

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces (ISF) issued on Monday a statement declaring that a unit at Rafik Hariri International Airport thwarted an attempt to smuggle counterfeit Iraqi Dinar and US Dollars that amounted to 85 thousand dollars into Lebanon. The money was found inside the suitcase of Iraqi national identified as S.B., born 1974.

The security forces at the airport also found over two kilos of hash in the suitcase of Dutch traveler, I.E., born 1973.

Both culprits admitted to their crimes.
