AMMAN, Jordan, - Jordan, on Wednesday, reiterated its support for Iraq's efforts, to uproot terrorism.
Jordan's Senate President, Feisal Fayez, made the remarks at a meeting with Ammar al Hakeem, chairman of the National Iraqi Alliance, where he said, Jordan was also keen on preserving the unity and stability of Iraq.
Stressing strategic ties between the two countries, Fayez said, Iraq's stability is in the interest of Jordan.
He added that Jordan rejects any attempts to interfere in Iraq's internal affairs.
He also voiced support for a political solution on the Syrian issue.
The Jordanian official called on the international community, to boost efforts in uprooting terrorism, which he said, threatens the entire world.
Al Hakeem voiced appreciation for Jordan's support, expressing keenness for further cooperation.
He also said that, the security challenges require the cooperation of all players in the region.
Jordan is a member of the U.S.-led coalition, to fight the Daesh in Iraq and Syria.
