Jubouri Meets Dutch Ambassador

BAGHDAD - Speaker of Parliament Salim al-Jubouri said that Iraq is looking forward to supporting the friendly countries through the active participation in the reconstruction file, which we hope the government of the Netherlands will play a large role in it through investments and in all fields.

Al-Jubouri, during a meeting with Dutch Ambassador Matisse Voltres on Wednesday, confirmed "The importance of continuing coordination of international efforts in the fight against terrorism, which has threatened everyone without exception,"

For his part, the Dutch ambassador confirmed during the meeting, "his country's keenness to establish the best relations with Iraq to achieve common interests and at all levels, praising the victories achieved by Iraqi forces in the city of Mosul."

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the relations between the two friendly countries and means of strengthening them to serve the interests of the two sides. The meeting also reviewed the most important security and political developments in Iraq and the region and the international efforts in combating terrorism and reconstruction of areas affected by Daesh.
