BAGHDAD / Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov said that the meeting scheduled to be held in Moscow on Tuesday between the foreign ministers of Iran, Turkey, and Russia aims to take concrete action on Syria.
Lavrov condemned the killing of the Russia's ambassador to Turkey, Andrei Karlov, on Monday while delivering a speech at an art gallery in Ankara, in a statement saying, "The killing of the ambassador was aimed to disrupt the war against terrorism in Syria."
He continued, "We will take actions in this meeting makes it impossible on those care those who ordered this crime, and organized it to achieve their plans," explaining that he had spoken by telephone with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu after the death of the ambassador.
Mevlut Cavusoglu arrived in Moscow late Monday evening to participate in the meeting on Tuesday.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said they had agreed that the killing of Ambassador highlights the need to escalate the war on terror.
