Baghdad The President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, discussed with the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, the developments of the situation in Iraq in general.

A statement by the Kurdistan Regional Government stated that, Barzani received Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, and discussed with her the developments of the situation in Iraq in general, and the relations between the Kurdistan region and the federal government, indicating that the two sides agreed that the outstanding issues between Erbil and Baghdad would be resolved according to the constitution.

The statement indicated that the Prime Minister of KRG discussed with Plasschaert the role of the United Nations in solving the problems, and also talked about the upcoming elections and confronting the threats of ISIS terrorists.
