BAGHDAD / President Fuad Masum discussed with the head of the National Alliance, Ammar al-Hakim, the latest political and security developments, and ways to support ongoing military operations to complete the liberation of Mosul from Daesh and multiply and develop ways of eliminating the sleeping cells in the country.
According to a presidential statement, "The two sides hailed the victories achieved by the Iraqi armed forces, the Peshmerga, the popular mobilization forces, and volunteers of the province of Nineveh, and the victorious progress being made in fighting fronts."
The two sides called for "the need to proceed with preparations to ensure tasks directly post Daesh, in referring to the reconstruction operations and plans of re-displaced people and reconciliation, they also stressed the necessary to issue a number of necessary laws.
They confirmed "the need to activate the communication and consultations between all parties, and strengthen the unity of the national ranks and overcome the current economic and financial difficulties" .
