Minister of Displacement and Migration announced the displacement of 118 people since the start of the liberation operations of Mosul

Sulaymaniyah / Minister of Displacement and Migration Jassim Mohammed Al-Jaf announced the displacement of /118/ thousand people of Mosul and surrounding areas since the start of the military operation to liberate it.

He said at a joint news conference with the Acting Governor of Sulaimaniyah Sardar Qadir that it has been agreed with the local government in Sulaimaniya, to house a large number of people of Mosul who are fleeing daily from fighting and confrontations areas between the Iraqi army and militants of Daesh which uses civilians as human shields to prevent the progress of the Iraqi forces."

He added that so far 118,000 civilians in Mosul and surrounding areas had fled since the beginning of the military operation to liberate it from the grip of the Daesh organization, stressing the completion of the preparations for the reception of /120 / thousand another persons, referring to the escape of two thousand people a day from combat zones.
