Baghdad - Minister of Transport Kazem al-Hammami arrived in the Iranian capital, Tehran on an official visit.
A Ministry statement quoted Hammami as saying that he had met his Iranian counterpart Abbas Akhundi and discussed with him the navigation issue in the Shatt al-Arab and the railway projects between the two countries.
"The development of the transportation of visitors through Iran has also been discussed, and the development of aviation, airports and airlines has been discussed," he added.
For his part, the Iranian minister pointed out that the Iranian companies are ready to provide all their expertise to develop the transport sectors in Iraq to serve the interests of both countries, adding: the efforts are moving towards linking Iran and Iraq through a railway line to facilitate the transport of goods and people.
