Baghdad - The Russian Defense Ministry announced the launch of Cruise missiles on targets and sites of Daesh near the eastern city of Deir al-Zour, following the killing of two Russian soldiers by a missile launched by Daesh yesterday.
The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed yesterday that two Russian soldiers were killed by a missile to Daesh near Deir al-Zour, and "The two soldiers were escorting a convoy of military vehicles belonging to the Russian Center for Reconciliation between the Syrian conflicting parties," it said.
It added, "A Russian soldier was killed and another was seriously wounded. He was immediately taken to hospital. Russian military doctors tried hard to save his life but he died," added "The convoy was hit by a missile fired by terrorists while driving to the village of Deir al-Zour."
