Moussawi Calls Blocs To Abandon Quota And Support PM To Select Independents To Fill Vacant Ministries
BAGHDAD / Vice-President of the political body of the Sadrist movement, Jaafar al-Moussawi called on political blocs to abandon the quota system and support the Prime Minister in selecting independent and competent personalities to manage the vacant ministries.
The media office of the Political body of the Sadrist movement quoted him as saying that "the vacant ministries file is standstill due to adhering of the political blocs to the quota system," noting that "Ahrar bloc learn that Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi supports the need for occupied the ministries by professionals, incompetent and honest. "
Moussawi called to "the availability of a real will among the political blocs, so as the prime minister can pass candidates under the dome of the House of Representatives," stressing that "the Sadrist movement supports Abadi so as to embarrass the political blocs, which are adhering to the quota system and detects them in front of people."
The House is scheduled to reconvene next Tuesday.
