Security Forces Fail Fourth Attack To Daesh On Akrab Checkpoint In Mosul

Mosul - The security forces repulsed the fourth attack of Daesh near Akrab checkpoint at the entrance to Mosul from the southern axis, according to a security source.

"The local police forces repulsed an attack to Daesh and killed seven terrorists during clashes in southern Mosul," the source told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA).

He added that "the security forces impose a large security cordon near the checkpoint, fearing infiltration of Daesh militants to the city"

It is mentioned that the security forces failed the fourth attack by Daesh near the Akrab checkpoint in less than a week where local security forces are deployed in all axes of the entrances of Mosul from the south and west also after the announcement of full control of the western and southern axes on the right side of Mosul"
