BAGHDAD - Senior Undersecretary of State for Foreign Relations Nizar al-Khairallah praised Italy's support for Iraq in its war against terrorism.
Al-Khairallah, during his meeting in Baghdad with his Italian counterpart Vincenzo Amandola, according to a statement by the Foreign Ministry, confirmed "The necessity of activating memorandums of understanding between the two sides in various fields. He pointed to the importance of facilitating the granting visas to Iraqis wishing to visit Italy, calling on the Italian side to stand with Iraq to lift the ban on Iraqi stadiums ".
He reviewed "the victories achieved by the security forces, the popular mobilization, Peshmerga and clans' fighters in the battles to liberate Mosul."
For his part, Undersecretary of the Italian Foreign Ministry confirmed his country's support for Iraq in its war against terrorism, praising the victories achieved by the security forces on terrorism.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them in the interest of the two friendly peoples and discuss issues of common concern.
