Baghdad Military Intelligence Directorate announced the arrest of two infiltrators west of Nineveh, who came from Syria, and found missiles, bombs and explosive devices in the Tharthar desert in Anbar.
A statement by the Directorate stated that the detachments of the Intelligence Directorate of the Western Operations Command in Nineveh, using thermal cameras, spotted two infiltrators moving from the Syrian lands across the border towards our lands, and a tight ambush was set for them in the Jalbara outpost of Rabia sub-district by the detachments of the Military Intelligence Directorate in the 15th Division and a force from the first regiment, the 71st Infantry Brigade, and they were arrested and they were of Iraqi nationality, and they were handed over to the concerned authorities to refer them to the judiciary.
On the other hand, the Military Intelligence Directorate detachments in the Tenth Division, in cooperation with the 1st regiment, the 39th Infantry Brigade, managed to seize a pile of equipment in the Tharthar desert in Anbar that included 25 120 mm mortar rounds, 8 homemade Hellfire rockets, 4 explosive devices in addition to a 120 mm mortar base, while the engineering detachments of the division destroyed the materials locally and under control.
