Baghdad Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein received today, at the ministry building, a copy of the credentials of the new Turkish ambassador to Baghdad, Ali Rıza Güney.
A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, “During the meeting, bilateral relations and ways to enhance them were reviewed in the service of the two friendly countries, and the Minister indicated the Foreign Ministry’s readiness to provide full support for the success of the ambassador’s mission in his work in Baghdad, wishing him success in his work.”
The minister stressed the importance of coordination, activating common interests and facing challenges, expressing his aspiration to work to support and strengthen Iraqi-Turkish relations in a way that reflects their specificity and strategy.”
For his part, the Turkish ambassador affirmed his country’s interest in ways to advance the course of bilateral relations, indicating that he would make every effort to strengthen and develop relations between the two countries.”
