Yildirim To Abadi: Cooperation Between Our Countries Against Terrorism In All Its Forms Will Prevent It From Reaching Its Goals

BAGHDAD / Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi received condolences from Turkish Prime Minister Ben Ali Yildirim on martyrdom of a number of pilgrims returning from Karbala.

Yildirim in his condolences, according to a statement to the Office of Abadi today, said: on behalf of the Turkish people and on behalf of my Government, I strongly condemn the terrorist attack that caused injury and death of a large number of our brothers returning from the ceremony of Arbain, which took place in Karbala, which is considered one of the most important holy places in our religion. "

He added: "The clear objective of this bloody targeting of innocent people who want to complete their religious duties represents an escalation of sectarian tensions and creating distinction in Iraq and in the region as a whole at a time an important stages in the fight against Daesh terrorist organization have been taken."

The Turkish Prime Minister confirmed that "the most holistic cooperation, solidarity and act in a consultative framework between our two countries against terrorism in all its forms will prevent it from reaching its goals.
