Baghdad The Head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Moayyad al-Lami, affirmed: “We want to preserve a decent life for journalists and their families.”
Al-Lami said in a televised statement: “The media institutions are suffering from financial distress, and the paper press is in a very difficult financial situation.”
He added: “The heads of media institutions should provide the financial resources to the employees of their institutions when contracting with them.”
Al-Lami pointed out: “There are fake organizations working in the media, and we have made many contacts with the concerned authorities on this issue.”
