A gang, including a woman, was arrested for selling counterfeit currency in the governorates of Baghdad and Najaf

Baghdad The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency in the Ministry of Interior announced, on Friday, the arrest of a gang, including a woman, who was selling counterfeit currency in the governorates of Baghdad and Najaf.

The Agency stated in a statement that during two separate operations in the governorates of Baghdad and Najaf, a number of suspects were arrested, including a woman, who were selling counterfeit currency, in their possession counterfeit sums of money, estimated at thousands of dollars.”

It added, “Legal measures were taken against the fundamentalist suspects and their arrest in accordance with Article (281 – 52) of the Penal Code.”
