Baquba The Mandali district directorate in Diyala governorate confirmed the continuation of trade exchange through two border crossings with Iran.

Mazen Akram, director of the district, told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA): “The commercial activity between Iraq and Iran through the ports of Khanaqin, northeast of Baquba, and Mandali, east of Baquba, is continuing, and the activity rates range from 60 to 70% compared to the past ten months.”

He added, “The two border crossings are closed to Iraqi travelers, based on the decision of the central government and the crisis cell.”

The central government reopened the Mandali crossing after a closure that lasted for many months due to Coronavirus restrictions .
