Baghdad The National Security Adviser announced the formation of a joint government delegation for the purpose of returning the displaced people in all camps to their original areas of residence and ending the displacement file.
The Center of Excellence in the National Security Advisory stated in a statement that the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / received a copy of it that it is based on the Diwani Order (60) for the year 2021 and according to the directive of the Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, and in coordination between the National Security Advisory / Center of Excellence and UNDP, it was decided to form a delegation from (the Ministry of Migration and Displacement, the Joint Operations Command, the National Security Apparatus, the Ministry of Health and the National Security Advisory) to hold meetings with clan heads, dignitaries, directors of local administrations and community peace committees from the liberated governorates (Nineveh, Anbar and Salah al-Din, Diyala and Kirkuk) for the purpose of returning the displaced in all the camps to their original areas of residence and ending the displacement file.
He added that two official meetings were held in Erbil governorate between the 13-14 of this month, as the first meeting was for the governorates of (Anbar and Salah al-Din), and the second meeting was for three governorates (Kirkuk, Diyala and Mosul).”
For his part, the attendees welcomed this unprecedented step as it is aimed at addressing this dangerous file and its repercussions, and they also affirmed their support for this step, each according to his responsibility and competence.
