A Number Of Wanted For Terrorism Arrested In Baghdad

Baghdad Security forces arrested five wanted persons on charges of terrorism, accused of trafficking and using narcotic substances, and seized two explosive devices.

The Security Media Cell said in a statement: “An intelligence force arrested four wanted men in accordance with Article 4/1 of terrorism, while another force from the Federal Police arrested a fifth wanted man in the Karkh and Rusafa sectors.”

The statement added, “A security force seized two explosive devices, two 155mm “Austrian” projectiles, left by ISIS terrorist gangs, south of Baghdad. They were detonated in the field.”

It continued, “The Police of Checkpoint and External Roads, in partnership with a detachment from the National Security Apparatus, arrested an accused person of drug trafficking in the Dora area, south of Baghdad, and seized (500) grams of crystal narcotic and an unlicensed pistol in his possession.”
