Brigadier-General Nihad Al-Mahdawi, the media spokesman for the Diyala Police Command, told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that a joint security force, based on intelligence information, seized a pile of explosives in the process of combing villages adjacent to the Diyala River in the suburbs of Jalawla, northeast of Baquba. It contained explosive devices, mortar bombs, wires and remote detonators belonging to ISIS, which was planning to target security forces and electric power transmission towers.
