Baghdad French President Emmanuel Macron affirmed his aspiration to visit Iraq again, and to attend the regional conference that Iraq will host at the end of this month, which was coordinated to be held in cooperation with France.

Today, Monday, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi discussed, in a telephone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron, the ongoing preparations for holding a regional conference that Iraq will host at the end of this month, as well as discussing the current regional situation and international developments.

Al-Kadhimi stressed that France is a real partner for Iraq, and that the two countries have a long history of constructive relations, which we seek to develop in various fields.

For his part, the French President announced his full support for Iraq, and for the Prime Minister in his approach and measures to strengthen the Iraqi state institutions. Macron also praised the balanced Iraqi diplomacy, led by Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, and its contribution to consolidating the foundations of peace and stability.
