Baghdad Legal expert Ali Al-Tamimi confirmed that the establishment of the Iraqi state, whose centenary coincides with today, is a gateway to openness to development spoiled by coups.
He told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the establishment of the Iraqi kingdom and the inauguration of King Faisal I was a gateway to getting out of problems and entering the world of development and technology.
Al-Tamimi added that: What Iraq is witnessing today is the ruins of development from streets, buildings, hospitals and hotels, all within the era of monarchy.
He explained that Iraq was the country with the most number of coups, and this is evidence that whoever carries them out is not accused of Iraq’s interest and stability.
Al-Tamimi pointed out that these coups caused the backwardness of Iraq, and if the monarchy had continued, Iraq would have been similar to the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
