Baghdad Minister of Trade Alaa Ahmed Al-Jubouri discussed with his counterpart the Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Nevin Jameh and her accompanying delegation ways to enhance joint economic cooperation between Iraq and Egypt, especially in the commercial and economic sectors, and implement what was agreed upon during the presidential summit.
The ministry’s statement stated, “During the meeting, a joint action plan was drawn up with specific timings to translate the paths of cooperation and decisions taken by the two countries into concrete practical reality, especially with regard to developing the volume of trade exchange and strengthening relations between the Iraqi and Egyptian private sectors through activating the work of the joint businessmen councils that includes businessmen and investors from the two countries and allows the private sector to undertake the tasks of implementing investment projects and working on setting up permanent trade fairs.
It added, “A number of themes and paragraphs related to joint cooperation were discussed by achieving benefit for both brotherly peoples
The two sides agreed to hold a joint meeting to hold discussions on the axes and areas of work and joint cooperation between the two countries.
