Oil Price Rises Above $75 For The First Time In Two Years

Baghdad Oil prices rose, during trading today, Tuesday, above $75 a barrel, for the first time since April 25, 2019.

By 09:22 Baghdad time, Brent crude futures rose 0.35% to $75.16 a barrel.

And US crude futures, West Texas Intermediate, rose 0.03% to $73.68 a barrel.

The rise comes in light of expectations of a recovery in economic demand for crude oil in the world after the gradual lifting of travel restrictions.

Earlier, the American investment bank, Bank of America, improved its forecast for oil prices in 2021, raising it from $60 to $68 a barrel.

The American Bank predicted that the price of a barrel of Brent blend would rise to $100 by 2022.
