Baghdad The Civil Defense teams have controlled a fire that broke out inside the main library on the second floor of the building of the Faculty of Physical Education inside the University of Baghdad in Al-Jadriya Complex.
The Directorate of Civil Defense stated, “the firefighting teams made great efforts to contain the fire and rescue the contents of the library, its precious books, manuscripts, research and studies, and the furniture it contains in record time, reducing material losses to the minimum possible, without recording injuries or human losses.”
It added that an investigation was opened at the police station responsible for the geographical area, based on the report of the forensic expert, to determine the causes of the fire.
