Baghdad The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, stressed the need to maintain the sobriety of academic education and pay attention to the needs of professors and students.
During his meeting with the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Nabil Kadhim Abdel-Saheb, he stressed the need to protect the sobriety of academic education and the scientific independence of universities, support and expand various scientific and cultural specializations according to the developments of the times, pay attention to the needs of professors and students and overcome obstacles and problems in front of them.
He added that Iraqi universities have a good reputation in international forums, despite the difficulties they faced in previous periods, calling for strengthening cooperation with international universities and benefiting from international experiences, in order for Iraqi universities to be among their peers in the countries of the world.
For his part, the Minister thanked the President of the Republic’s directives, reviewing the ministry’s work progress, its future plans, and the challenges facing the country’s higher education sector.
