Baghdad Minister of Interior Othman Al-Ghanimi held, today, Monday, a meeting at the Ministry’s operations headquarters with all provincial police chiefs, via the television circuit.

During this meeting, the Minister discussed, according to a statement by the Ministry, important issues, foremost of which is maintaining a petition with the operations command and overcoming obstacles to develop security work.

Al-Ghanimi confirmed that the police chief is responsible for all the Ministry’s resources in his governorate, stressing that there should be continuous communication with all the joints of the security services operating in the governorates.

He directed the importance of dealing well with the demonstrators and providing them with protection, as well as intensifying efforts and field work in order to provide the appropriate atmosphere for the upcoming elections, and to provide the best services to citizens.
