Baghdad Minister of Interior Othman Al-Ghanimi directed to support the preemptive and counterattack operations that are based on an intelligence effort and implemented by the specialized authorities in the Ministry of Interior in cooperation with other security services in separate areas of the country.
Al-Ghanimi stressed, according to a statement by his office, “the continuation of these operations with the aim of drying up the sources of terrorism, pursuing ISIS elements, eliminating crime in its various forms, and preserving public and private property.”
He added, “ensuring Iraq’s security is dependent on the hands of its heroic men, who had travels and tours that destroyed the terrorists’ hideouts and pursued crime in various regions.”
