Baquba A local source in Diyala announced that the Iranian side has reduced electricity supplies to the governorate by 40% due to the need for electrical energy in some areas of Iran.
The source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA): “The Iranian side has reduced the supply of the Diyala-Mirsad line, to reach 150 megawatts, with interruptions in supply due to the Iranian side’s actual need for electricity in some areas with the rise of temperatures.”
He added, “Diyala relies on the national grid at present to a large extent to distribute electricity to administrative units in a fair and continuous flow,” denying that the Iranian line was subjected to any attack or targeting.
