Baghdad Head of the Human Rights Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ali Hilal, met today, Sunday, Kim Koivalinen, Chargé d’Affairs of the Finnish Embassy in Baghdad.

A statement by the ministry stated that during the meeting, bilateral coordination mechanisms and the most important issues related to human rights files and ongoing discussions within the work of the 47th session of the Human Rights Council were discussed, based on the mandate entrusted to it, as well as working with treaty committees to implement the obligations of the Iraqi government in accordance with the provisions of human rights agreements to which Iraq is a party.
