Najaf Minister of Water Resources Mahdi Al-Hamdani arrived in Najaf today.
Al-Hamdani said in a brief statement, “Our visit to Najaf is focused to hear the problems of our departments, in particular with regard to the lack of financial allocations.
“The Ministry is keen to secure a water share for the success of the agricultural plan,” he added. He explained that water is available this summer, and we call on farmers not to worry.
He outlined, “We discussed with the governor and officials in Najaf many issues and directed our departments to overcome difficulties, and we will rehabilitate the Najaf Sea, as it is a tourist source and contributes to raising the governorate’s financial revenues, because the area is qualified to be a tourist and we will work on that with all capabilities.”
