Baghdad The politician Mithal Al-Alusi confirmed that the visit of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi to Kuwait aims to search for a Kuwaiti role in persuading the withdrawing parties to return to the elections.
He told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that one of the goals of Al-Kadhimi’s visit to Kuwait is also to reach an agreement on the objectives of the Baghdad Conference for Neighboring Countries scheduled to be held at the end of this month, in addition to confirming a high-level Kuwaiti presence for the conference.
Al-Alusi added that one of the objectives of the visit is to push Kuwait to play the role of mediator between Tehran and Riyadh during the coming period.
Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi arrived in the Kuwaiti capital today on an official visit at the head of a high-level delegation.
