Kirkuk The National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, stressed the importance of opening the Kirkuk civil airport after its completion, noting: “The Kirkuk airport project will serve all the citizens of the province.”
During his field briefing on the departments, parts and buildings under construction in the Kirkuk civil airport project, Al-Araji said: “Kirkuk must remain a center for peaceful coexistence, and the security file should be far from the political file.”
He was briefed on the airport’s readiness, and the conditions of its employees, who demanded that the Civil Aviation Authority and the National Security Council be approached to open the airport.
Al-Araji promised to work to expedite the opening of the airport.
