Baghdad Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government Qubad Talabani discussed, today, Tuesday, in Erbil, with the Greek Consul General in the Kurdistan Region, Stavros Keremis, bilateral relations and ways to strengthen relations between the Kurdistan Region and Greece.

During the meeting, Talabani stressed the need to diversify sources of revenue, praising Greece for paying attention to the tourism sector, expressing his hope that it would become a model and an experience for the Kurdistan region to follow.

For his part, the Greek Consul General in the Kurdistan Region expressed his country’s readiness to further develop cooperation with the Kurdistan Region, especially in the formation of relations between the cities of the region and the Greek cities.

He added that the Greek Prime Minister is scheduled to visit Iraq soon, and that the Kurdistan region will be one of the stations of his visit.”
