The Secretary-General Of The Council Of Ministers Receives The Director Of The Office Of The International Organization For Migration In Iraq

 

Baghdad The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Naim Al-Ghazi, received, in his official office, today, Sunday, the Director of the International Organization for Migration office in Iraq, Gerard Karl on the occasion of the end of his duties.

The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, according to a statement by the General Secretariat, praised the humanitarian programs implemented by the organization in coordination with the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers on the one hand, and between the international community and the Ministry of Migration and Displacement on the other hand, during the previous years in all governorates, the most important of which is the program to provide support to the displaced and support the stabilization effort in the liberated regions.

Al-Ghazi reiterated the readiness of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers to provide all means of support for the work of the organization and the director of its new office in Iraq, and to double the effort and joint work, especially that the two departments of non-governmental organizations and the empowerment of Iraqi women in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers supervised many humanitarian programs and files.

For his part, Karl praised the efforts of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers for the support it provided to the organization during the last period, and its direct coordination with ministries and official institutions, praising the adoption of the Yazidi Survivors Law, and the health programs and psychological support provided by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers to them.
