Baghdad The Iraqi parliamentary delegation and the Jordanian side agreed on the need to increase cooperation in the security and military field to address the consequences of the presence of terrorism in the region.
During the visit of the parliamentary delegation headed by First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hassan Al-Kaabi, they talked about facilitating entry procedures for Iraqis and Jordanians, as it would open greater prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the future.
During their meeting with the Jordanian Foreign Minister, Ayman Al-Safadi, the delegation praised the distinguished role played by the Kingdom to defeat terrorism and eliminate its sources and its role in the security of the region, congratulating the good efforts that the King of Jordan contributed to the success of the tripartite summit between Iraq, Jordan and Egypt, which was held recently in Baghdad.
The two sides discussed the role of higher education in increasing the volume of rapprochement between the two countries, especially that there are more than 30,000 Iraqi students studying in Jordanian universities, as well as Iraqi professors working in them, as well as the role of the foreign ministries in both countries to strengthen cooperation in all fields.
In turn, Al-Safadi praised the active role played by the Iraqi parliament in opening prospects for more constructive cooperation with the Kingdom, as well as the Iraqi government, which was able, in record time, to eliminate the largest terrorist organization represented by ISIS, which threatened global peace and security, and the Iraqis were able to restore security to their country through cohesion to achieve this great goal.
