Najaf The Imam of the Friday prayer of Najaf, Sadr Al-Din Al-Qabbanji, welcomed the decision of the judiciary to exclude Baathist elements who were candidates for the elections.
He said during the political Friday prayer sermon in Najaf that the men of the black era that ruled Iraq do not have the right to nominate, and we appeal to the judiciary to take this decision, and there is no return to the Baath Party or to the members of this party, and we reject any attempt to bring them back.”
On the other hand, he called on the government to be honest in the decision to distribute land to citizens, and not to be mere electoral propaganda, as it has been in every election.
He expressed his hope that the government would be sincere in implementing this decision.
